The brushing is just black and white, there's no smooth transition between the two. Hide all the layers except for the brushing. Make a new layer above the brushing layers and go to Image>Apply Image, and press OK. Then go to Filter>Gaussian Blur at about 1 - 2 and reduce the opacity on the new layer until it looks smoother. After that, you can make a New Adjustment Layer>Levels above the brushing/merged brushing layers and mess with the settings. Not too much, but enough to give the sig depth. Then make the layers on top of the new layers you just made visable.Quote:
