OMG! Look at this!

And it isn't a "tech"-like sig, so why scanlines? That would ruin it... (at least that's what I think)

Scan lines or patterns don't take away from a sig of that nature. They are used to add depth. They can really improve a sig if they are used properly. most of the time you don't even realize they are there unless you look at the sig closely. For that style you should use scan lines but add a layer mask or somethin over it to make it original. But other then the text and the fact that you really should make it shorter, there isn't much to improve apon. The render however does need to be blended better. Looking at it it doesn't look like you did much of anything to blend it at all. Anyways sorry for the long reply.

Bottom is better. The top you messed up because of the grid, and no those are not scanlines. That is a grid my man and there is a difference. Text looks better but the best advice i can give about this piece is to move on to something else.
