a good cheap pc would cost £299 but then what would be the point when you can buy a nice processor for that and in the end you'd just replace all the computer so i'd say buy the parts over time and upgrade your pc all the time

Well lets talk about the ram first. You got to make sure that you have a spare slot to put the stick in. You must know if its compatible with your computer. ( SDram or DDRram ) you got to know what you pc has.
Gfx card. You got to make sure you have a spare AGP slot ( if you dont know what one looks like google image search ) If I was you I would go with the FX 5500 becuase the ATI RADEON 9250 can give you probs when gaming.
This is just my opinion, i dont know much about computers ^^^ is about all i know.
Hope this helps

In fact Ive got the Radeon 9250..I have run into a few problems with games that's correct however there are usually ways around it - it's fine, but yeah, you shouldnt have to mess around with drivers and settings when you could get a card that offered the same without these little problems ( i didnt have a choice in the video card i got :P)

Well i'd buy a decent pc but i can't afford to... i do'nt have that much money. Damn being 14 :P
So.. my plan ( yes it's evil mwuahha ) Is to buy a cheap pc and upgrade over the next year. Because in a year i could get it upto a decent level. All i'd get on the pc to start is a decent processor and memory. The rest is upgradeable. =)
i's suggest saving up alot before building a pc over a long time because by the time you've finished there might be much better parts for it so get a top line processor and such .. I4ee is a nice place to start
NO.
Don't buy a pc. Make your own. It's really not that hard. You won't need top of the line parts. It will be cheaper, and better then buying a pc then upgrading it.
If you need help with parts. OR anything, just send me a pm.
Sounds fun ^.^ I'll pm
EDIT: But if i were to buy a PC. On the spec list. This is an AGP & Pci pc. Yeh?

Just so i know what i'm looking for lol >.<
That pc is worst then some windows 95 pc's. -_- No joke.
Lol, but yeah that pc has a PCI and APG slot. Though, most modern video cards use PCI x16, a whole different field. ;)
I see.... Well Crofty is out, for now. IT's 3:03 am. I pm'd you again... so hopefully you'll reply soon.
I would recomend 2 Gb (2x1 Gb) RAM pc3200 400Mhz for your computer m8. ( though it cost my uncle that bought them for me around 200 euro :P )
Thats what Ive got. Or 1 Gb (2x512 Mb ) if you want it cheaper. Just make it that the RAM is working together then you will get a little more boost on the computer.
Im thinking about getting 2x512 RAM more to the computer or wait so Ill can upgrade to a Pentium D (Maby Xtreme edition ^^ ). Though that will take ages before Im going to afford a computer like that.. -_-.
Edit: Yeah be very carefull with the brand names on the hardware. I highly recomend Corsair or Kingston for the RAM. I know they are expensive but they wont get broken so easaly.
And Sapphire for ATI card or Gainward ( though it was a couple of years ago since I had an Geforce graphic card ) for Geforce.
Well. I think now. I'm going to A/ build a pc
B/ get a new pc.
SO i'll have a big heftah project for this year.
Be worth it in the end though ^_^
