I think thats totally fine, I see no problem with that. It may be out of ordinary, but thats nothing bad.

i've never really sat down and played pokemon cards like for what they're made for, i just collected them and hoped i'd get a shiney in every pack ^_^

I had so many shineys. And about 4-5 aincient mew things. Hehe =D I think i had about 30-40 shineys altogether.. and about 1k cards =D Pokemon rocked.

Yu gi ho was ok also.. i have a card worth like.. £20 :| got it by having this lifesize battledroid ( cardboard but 3d and moving still... ) and trading it for like... £30 of cards at my local geek shop =D Hehe I wish i would've kept it that droid was so cool...
