Its the internet, it cant be either or.
I just think its been over popularized with crap.
the only reason i use it is to look something up, for informational usage, but books and libraries are sometimes better for that anyways. I hate downloading music too, music should be bought. not illegally downloaded.
Internet was not created for entertainment, it was for communication. I'd have to agree though to an extent. Like many things, it has become twisted from its original purpose. But there is so much info that many of us would not be able to find elsewhere, and everyone is connected.
Despite the immature people on it, the good outweighs the bad XD

small program? you mean that ram eating mother brother which harrasses my ass off with it's special offers? fuck that program never brought anyone good.. only made me want to kill things.. apple ruined my childhood.. :(
I only ever buy music, unless a friend wants to send me some. I prefer having somethign to prove that i have the music... :)

I really think my life would be drastically different if I didnt have computers. Computers have been a big part of my life since I was in 4th grade - and still is today.
Although, thinking back on it, before I came into contact with computers I was doing fine. I was spending a lot more time outside, excercising.
Nowadays I spend a lot of my time on the computer running my buisness - thats the main reason I go on it. I make a living off of it, and a good one at that so I do <3 computers.
id rather be outside working than inside on a computer.
Money hasn't, and will never matter to me. Never did when i was a kid. why should it when I'm older.. humans just conform to what other people are doing.
some of your peoples comments are ridiculous. I tunes is horrible.
The good does not out weigh the bad. There is no good and bad.
Hard to convey a message when you can't properly express yourself...
you can say it helps you all you want. But until you actually experience feelings you have never felt before, experienced life. Experienced Nature and earned a respect for both it, and spirituality.
Life is only lived once, I'm trying to help some people... I know its a hard thing to do, when everyone is always so strong on there own beliefs.
Music, at heart was created as a form expression, that is why it is an art. Although you may see music as entertainment it has solely only become that through popularization.
Most of you have conformed to everything, music, religion, society, whats right and wrong.
Deep down the only respect i have for the internet is that it Ive learnt a great deal about music, philosophy, art, religion, behaviours from it. that really hasn't helped me any though.
Who knows if i could be happy without it. who knows what my life or anyone that has ever used it would be like without it. All i can say, is its just a bunch of tiny square colours on a screen.
I'm really not trying to push spiritual happiness on anyone, I'm just tired of seeing so much synthetic emotion in everyday life.
I kinda agree with you, but not entirely.
More people should discover the wonder of books, which are much more entertaining than stuff like Runescape. The world would be a better place if more people read books.
Also, exercise and fresh air are great for the body, mind, and soul. Sunshine on your back and the breeze in your hair is better than the internet.
However, I think the internet is a great way to communicate, for example email and IM. I was able to continue contact with my best friend Hayley when she was away from school after her back surgery.
Computers also provide education/entertainment for kids. I remember being 3 years old and playing Putt-Putt and Freddie Fish. When I was a little bit older, I played Zoombinis, a logic game. Good times. :) Those kind of games help kids think logicly and stuff.
Lastly, the internet is a great source for information, and its all at your fingertips. Although books are a little better, its easier to search on Google than to search through an entire library
