lol thats like saying what about people who buy a ps3 and dont have internet connection... they cant use any of the features you listed for ps3 below. Get the internet, simple. Im sure they will have the games come out on CDs anyway.

Dude, have you seen the new specs rolled out for the ps3 like 3 days ago? They will be supporting video chat AND audio chat THROUGH ALL GAMES in the online environment. Meaning, you can be in the lobby waiting for a game to start, and talking to someone playing a completely different came. Such as....playing COD and talking to someone playing madden, or something.
ps3 gmv.

Yeah, that's what i'm figuring/hoping at least. What i mean is...is that while i know they have launch titles planned (they seem awesome, especially that shooting/sword one), and have a nifty controller.....for many people the inlcuding of the older games is a huge plus. If they dont have a connection, its not very easy to get the games..unless you go to a friend's.
I understand your point about the ps3, but you can still have a lot more single player possibilities with the PS3, as i imagine backwards compatibility is included. And unlike the revolution, the PS doesn't need to download its games, so it wont need an internet connection to PLAY a game other than a launch title or specific revolution game.

The PS3 hasn't changed anything either then. Apart from the Blue-Ray disks which aren't needed and are going to make the console cost loads.
And "Next-Gen" just means the next group of consoles, it does'nt mean they have to be revolutionary.
Look, Sony cant even mkae their own logo!

Personally i hate that font :) A i dont think they will keep that controller.. rofl look at it.
WTF... "What about the people with no interent connection". What about the people with Commodore 64's they won't be able to use windows 3.1! lol, omg that was funny. If you don't have an internet connection, you probably live in ethiopia and your main concern is hunting antelope, not beating Tony Hawk Underground 3. Companies don't tailor to the smallest percentile, they target people that can afford the system and it's overpriced games. If you drop $600 on a console, you should have a $300/year internet connection.
I just checked out the Revolutions controller setup, and I gotta tell you I'm pretty interested in seeing what it can do. I think it would have been cooler if they had done some sort of glove system, but whatever. It will be pretty amazing if they can get a Star Wars title with full on lightsaber battles.
Nintendo has made it a point that outdoing PS3 and Xbox 360's graphics would be an exercise in futility, Sure they *could* do it but gaming is at a level where the graphics are platued. I play all my computer games at the lowest graphics settings and it doesn't bother me in the least. Yes, flashy graphics are nice, but when I look for a game I'm not looking for graphics. I'm looking for innovation, amazing AI, Interesting effects and storylines, and soon with the Revolution a new way to control the gameplay.
Hehehehe 43 ever hear of the PowerGlove for the NES? Major ownage, coolest kid in school :)
Yea the Rev's controller is very different from other consoles, I think its a neat idea and certainly a draw for people who look for a different gaming experience.
Oh yeaa the boomarang PS3 controller, shizz design. Sony said they are scrapping that for another: http://gaming.engadget.com/2006/03/22/sony...oller-redesign/ **(The spherical controller isnt the new design, imagine that though... forflrofrlflrforlflrflrlflr)
I've heard alot of complaints so far about the 360 scratching discs, overheating etc. etc.

lol did you guys acutally use/own a power glove? It was horrible, one of nintendos huge flops. Looked cool, but played like crap.
Yeah the powerglove was junk, but it was deffinetly the thing to have back in the day.
I tell you what I'm looking for, a total emersion into the game. If they could make a Star Wars game with a lightsaber where you could actually control the blade, have realistic first person battles, and deflect blaster fire in real time...jesus man, that'd be my childhood dream come true. I don't care how dorky it makes me sound. I would dish out $100 for the game alone, easy. I'd like to say that nintendo never falls short of expectations, but unfortunetly they sometimes do. I have a feeling that the first few titles that use the 3D motion controller are going to consist of a fruity new mario game with some weird gimmick (like the DS' games) and a rollerball game featuring Yoshi or some bullshit. I think it's going to be a good while (maybe even never) before a seriously solid use for the new technology is made into game form.
