Instead of using a color balance, I reccomend using a photo fileter(s). They are pretty awesome. :)

I think a photo filter would make it a bit too monotonal. I like how it is now. Nice blending.
god my grammar sucks lol....i'm thinking about getting rid of the color balance layer and maybe adding a gradient overlay layer and maybe a blurred & textured picture and setting it to overlay/softlight/color.
Lower the opacity of the scans :S
