well, ive never taken any photoshop classes in school, but i have had computer class, so i feel your pain.
Like every single person is an idiot around computers, and our teacher always went wicked slow and "taught" us the simplest things like how to change fonts and use spell check. In like every project we did (such as making a brochure) everyone copied what she did exactly(and can i mention it was always really ugly?). They just changed the color of a shape or something.
Oh, and like every year a school librarian teaches us how to use search engines/library databases online. *pukes*
I have never had a good computer teacher before. I've only learned anything from my mom. Shes not a total genius at computers, but she's still good. I also figure out stuff my exploring the program on my own, and looking online. I made a really cool powerpoint for health class and one for my history final project (100s on both!) without anybody telling me how to use Powerpoint. :D
i have great art classes. my media teacher acctually understand what hes doing <3. he doesnt fall for any crappy filters like liquify. and the visual art teachers acctually get good paints and canvases and such. i love my school classes. i think my school has one of the top art courses in ontario....i think. wich is great because thats what ill be majoring in :)
i hate it when teachers are really dumb though. the only good thing is you can skip the classes and still get 80s lol
yeah so far my teacher seems to pretty much suck, the only thing he's good at is finding things wrong with logos/posters etc. that we've made. i have yet to see him actually make a good suggestion.
the TA on the other hand is awesome, he seems to actually know what he's doing, although the teacher kinda overshadows him most of the time, stopping him from giving us good advice a lot of the time.
