That's actually a wicked idea.. but.. if you marry to another woman who wishes to bear your child, then you're buggered. But i suppose that would get rid of the increasing amount of abortions also... :D

I don't really think the world population is that much of a problem for right now or for the next 100 years. I used to, but you just have to remember that the more people that are born the more that die. I haven't heard anything about it being a problem though, so I'm pretty un informed on the matter. The world still has alot of unpopulated land that we can use for overcrowding if it gets too bad.
If there is more people theres a better chance someone will find out things we want to know (cure for cancer) and there will be more people to make the sciences for us to live on some other place. I've heard that people in china who only have like 1 child get help from the government to do special things because they need to be careful with the population over there. They would probably start doing that for the rest of the world if the population starts to get too big.
Trees die at a faster rate too now because of it. More polution. Etc. Just destroy all technology and rich people and everyone will die because theyre too stupid to fend for themselves.
lol this is just like enders game. 2 kids and if you have a 3rd hes/shes a shunned outcast for life.

the one child policy doesnt work in china... because if they find out its a girl they abort it.. and if its a male they keep it and spoil it.
so now theres too many men and not enough women in china... so they move elsewhere :(

Yea the ratio of men to women is like 117:100. Because sons pass on family name, pass on inheritance, since daughters "become" part of the grooms family once married, girls are undesirable and some become abandoned.
There isn't a penalty to giving birth to twins etc though. <-- becoming exploited, many taking medicine/drugs to induce multiple birth.
We can't stop overpopulation, we're too moral kill just for the purpose of population control (irony), and we all have an instinct to reproduce.
China will eventually realise they have to do more, and work with those issues.
I say we DON'T cure cancer. Along with AIDS.
Allow them to be treated, but not cured. Don't make people suffer from pain. Allow people the choice of "euthanasia", if they have a terminal disease, or condition.
Hopefully, science will find way's of making other planet's, or making new continents, our home aswell. =)
