I have never used VLC...never needed to. But with all the great opinions on it, I may have to try it out. ;)

Yes..... VLC owns, it can even play unfinished files that are being used by a program like limewire(still downloading) but its not pretty ^^ (unless you skin it or something) I use bsplayer usually, because its so easy to use subtitles with it. you can do that with vlc(surprise) too but its not as simple.
