That is actually quite crazy. That you have a movie with loads of aliens and shooting being shot across from your house man! :p!!!

Well last night I got nothing worth showing sadly. Too dark, and there was security everywhere. When they were filming, you really couldn't see much anyhow.

I did get a slightly better shot this morning of the Coyote parked in an adjacent lot. You can see the gun turret a bit better in this one.

We got a little tour of it last night buy one of the drivers before they rolled it out onto the set. Older model, worth around 1.3 million dollars, 14 tons and around 10 feet in height. Pretty intimidating looking down the barrel of the grenade launcher mounted on the right side of the turret. The guts are all ripped out and replaced with "hollywood crap" as we were told.

If you've never watched a movie being filmed, it's a lot like watching paint dry. We saw the same scene done half a dozen times in a five hour period.

Water truck soaks the street. Further up is a car flipped over, on fire. All they do is gut the car, put a propane tank in it and turn it into a bbq. That's how that's done.

Closer to us in a rain tower. Huge crane with a 50 foot beam on it, with sprinklers attached and hooked into the city's main water supply. That's how they make it rain.

Behind us is a Condor light. Biggest lightbulb I've ever seen, mounted on a black boom, so all you can really see is this huge light "hovering" in the sky.

Girl runs toward the coyote, and her kid runs up beside it screaming.
That was pretty much the scene.

We did get to walk through once during a break, and we could see a guy covering the coyote with red paint for blood, a few assault rifles, empty shells and a helmet laying on the ground. That was really about it in the 5 hours we spent down there.

Maybe I'll go down again tonight and see something a bit more exciting.
