Trying out the pen tool

Nice attempts at pertooling.

As far as the dots go, you can do it that way with little fuss. Just take a layer mask to the ends where you want it to get lighter. Use a soft low opacity brush, and it should fade it pretty nicely. I'm the nub who doesn't like that method though, so I do it the old fashioned way. Individually.
