Definitely a huge improvement. However, reading tutorials are fine, but don't see them as a "Bible". It's hard, and I still do it from time to time, but just because a tutorial says "do this and then do that", at the same time, do your own thing.
Mixing tutorials can be fun, and a good learning experience and you can get some very cool results sometimes, then you learn to add your own style to them, and expand into your own style.
I'm there now. Mixing and trying to find my own style, although that also depends to a large extent on my mood when I make a sig.
You're doing well, so keep at it and don't be afraid to try new things.

I'm always sharpening a lot more than any tutorial says - *shrugs*
I'm going to try out a few more as soon as my semester exams are over (only two to go - thank god).
