I reallly dislike the gradient on the border of the shield, a block colour would work alot better.

It gives it depth, so it makes it look like the shield is wavey or something =/ Otherwise, nice logo

Ah, I was wondering when someone was going to mention that. the "wavy" looking gold material is actually going to be gold in a literal sense. This logo is going to be printed on wine bottles and things. There's a strictly black and white version for printing on letterheads, but there is also this color/fake gold version for printing on business cards and etc.
