The buttons on that template are COMPLETELY out of place.
Your template is not a techy template; therefore you need no techy buttons.
The look incredibly ugly. I am not saying they are badly done, no; but on that site? Nu uh.
header is nice, if a bit un-meaningful.
The layout is...simple. Not too effective, but simple enough to create an okay effect for your second design.
If you want to keep those buttons. Fine. But make them end. They just kind of trail off....
