I actually like the car one. Sure, the BG could have been more, but for a first shot, you never wanna over do it. The only thing I don't like is the text, but you already said that...
I like it, since it's made in the morning, how long did they take to do? o.O
The first one looks fine, nothind to complain about really, maybe there could be a few changes here and there, but what the heck, orka ^^
The car one is cool, simple, yes, but cool, same thing there, and as you said, the text could need some improvement. Sinse you're only gonna bumb these, I guess you don't give a damn about what I tell, you, so I say they look like *** lmao good job

I like the first one, must say it really is your style.
The second one is nice too. Its simple but i think you managed to get it kinda nice.
A little to bright though.. And a 1px stroke around the text maybe?
