I'm with you, and finaly someone realised what hardcore is. Hardcore isnt Bleeding thru, its bands Madball mentioned. Bleeding thru is like a boy band of metal. More girls go tot eh shows than guys, tehy have no talent and they just plain ****ing suckQuote:

Best heavy bands, are norma jean, as I lay dying, from autumn to ashes, tool imo. Pantera isn't heavy and they have mullets. I love underOATH but they are not Metal.

Pantera might not be considered as metal now, but believe me. They are, just remember what years they started/played. Norma Jean isn't metal or super-heavy, it's hardcore/screamo. Tool is industrial. As I Lay Dying is good. :)
I really don't see how Pantera is not considered Metal. They pretty much got heavier with each album. I think that you younger kids have a strange way of classifying music these days.
About a year ago I was in a Sam Goody looking at some CD's and two teens were talking about Metallica and one said to the other "Old Metallica stuff sucks, their newer stuff is way better". I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was then that I realized todays youth have no clue as to what good music is. Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, New Found Glory to me their just a rock version of New Kids or NSYNC.
This is just my outlook on things, and my personal opinion. I know not all teens have suckass taste in music.
New Metallica sucks, Pantera is NOT remotely heavy, I mean give me a break that had mullets!!!!! Pantera is your typical 80's band which is why they werent near as successful as a band like Metallica. New found glory linking park lim bizkit, were they ever mentioned? LP wasn't mentioned actually none of them were. New found glory is the definiton of boy band, LP and lim bizkit are not comparible.

WHAT ARE you talking about! Pantera... Mullets were before tehy even had Phil in teh 80's so since you dont wkno what your talking about shut up dude. Honestly listen to Coyboys from Hell then listen to your /*/ Norma Jean. Metal is not Norma Jean, metal is Pantera. We would not have hal;f the bands we do now if it wasnt for PAntera. Didn't say norma jean was metal ;) said it was heavy. Pantera is just like all of the other 80's bands, styx, Kiss, the foreigners, they just had a guitarist that had some talent. That does not put them in the metal category. I'd say the only metal in the 70-80's was black sabbath, iron maiden, and slayer.
