I'm with Equal. I thought I would be the only one as I read down. I think if the light was more of concentrated in the middle I think it might look better. It kind of looks like it is just all over the place. Version one is decent but I really don't like the inversion.

Excellently brushed, so much depth and the typography is down right perfect.
