man all your messages in the forum are like "that isnt good" "this isnt good" k we understanded it but its starting to piss off, it doesnt matter how u did it the result is what matters...why does it matter if its in ps or illustrator?what matters is how it looks and not its process... <_<

hey man, dont get pissed ;) I asked if it was done in illustrator or photoshop simply to understand if it was true vector or not. I&#39;m harsh, yes, but I don&#39;t tell people just "that isn&#39;t good." I tell people everything that I see thats with what their work. I don&#39;t do it to make fun of them, but merely to show them those mistakes so they can be fixed, thus getting the most out of their work. Typically, not only do I tell them whats wrong, I make suggestions on how to fix the errors. Do not mistake the two. I only like to see people improve and know that when somebody does, in some miniscule way, I helped out with that improvement.

I disagree with the idea that the process doesn&#39;t matter. I think it matters completely. Hypothetical situation: I found a stock photo that nobody has used before. This stock photo had no copyrights on it, it was completely free in every sense of the word. This stock photo was absolutely mind blowing. Its nothing anybody has ever seen before; completely, totally, and utterly amazing. You get the idea. So lets say I took this stock photo, brought it into photoshop, put my name on it, and underlined my name. Then I added a border and saved it. Now, you know that all I did was add my name, a line, and a border. Lets call this piece "A". If I spent countless hours working hard making a piece (lets just say for this example that it looked identical to the stock photo, in this second situation the stock photo doesn&#39;t exist). We&#39;ll call this piece "B". What would be worth more or would you consider to be "better"? is it piece A, B, or do you think theyre equal? If you honestly think that theyre equal, then you need a better understanding of what "art" is. Art is the expression of self and one&#39;s ideas. Clearly I wouldn&#39;t be expressing myself by just putting my name, a line, and a border on that stock photo. That is just my opinion though, feel free to disagree :D

Edit: and about posting my work, I will eventually when I actually finish something heh. I have too many projects I&#39;m working on to actually make fast progress. When I finish one, I&#39;ll be sure to post it. I&#39;ll also finish my signature soon (which so far I&#39;ve put about 11 hours into).

gazo makes his work in photoshop, although i dont think that it matters if he can or can&#39;t resize it without damaging the edges.. he&#39;s not gonna sell it as a print, and right now im pretty sure PS is what he&#39;s comfortable with, so atm i see no reason of him not using it :)

Hey Jack, you know you CAN do true vector in photoshop? :) Not many people know how to, but you can, I do most of my vector work in photoshop and it&#39;s true. I could resize them biatches to cover the WORLD! I&#39;m sure some leaders wouldn&#39;t be too pleased though.

About the picture:

The stem sucks, I gotta be honest. It&#39;s a &#39;cutout&#39; filter and it&#39;s crap. The rose, on the other hand, is superb. I love it! Really nice colours and tone, and the background with it fits beautifully I think. If the stem was done properly like the petals, this would take a well-deserved spot as my desktop wallpaper. Unfortunately, it doesn&#39;t right now.
