I think it would be better if the lighting was coming from the left, angling downward.

but that's just my opinion. It might look better from the top, but I'm not sure.
Just keep it the way it is for now, and see how it looks. Change it later if you need to (if possible).

yea thats just a concept, may look very diffrent when it comes down to drtail and actual coloring..... the final will have a city and a base in it so it will be much larger ( 3000X2000 or more)
theres going to be alot going on, i may use some refrences for some of the areas as far as the lighting goes.
and no it wasnt with a tablet but the final will be.
Yes def get a tablet if your good at sketching by hand and such like me.
Alright, I used to draw and sketch lots before, but ill get back into it if its on computer :P
