what i found that separated it from the norm for me, was the great physics system (which if you turn up the performace, can lead to body parts coming off, walls exploding, cool effects with the grenades etc.)

i also liked the weapons a lot. the nailgun is definitely a favorite B) pin some unexpecting fools to the wall

When I had the settings up high the game lagged like an old man on the toilet <_< .

I like the eerieness of the game.. I lag too.. And I lag bad.. I run a 3.2gHz , Geforce FX 5600, 512mb Ram and it still lags..

well 1) your video card (no offense) sucks
and 2) with 512mb there is almost no hope of running any of the new games smoothly.. i&#39;d suggest getting at least a gb

What card do you recommend?
I&#39;ll get some RAM later..

well, sadly, you really need both to play the game with any quality.. so both are high priority

if you have the budget, i recommend the nvidia 7800 or the ati radeon x800 or x850 video cards. both are 256mb and are kickass for gaming. also, you really need to get 2gb ram total in your machine. with all the new games coming out, they all are gonna need more than 1gb. I have 2gb and it works great.

also, release date is oct 18th

ps: make sure your motherboard can handle the new ram and video card

yes sir, i pretty much chose the highest options. if you do it, you might as well do it right

Only prob I have about the model is the video card... Only X600 is available for that model? BTW.. 6800 Go Ultra > X800/X600

i know but hp didnt offer anything better than the x600

if need be, i&#39;ll just buy another video card.. but the x600 has suited me well for now

i&#39;m gettin a new desktop too, which is gonna have the 7800 GT (best on the market imo), so i won&#39;t need to upgrade my laptop for a while
