The Alex Rider series is great as well, written by Antony Horrowitz.
ALPHA Force - My 2nd favourite series. Its so damn cool (To me). It's by Chris Ryan. They have 10 Books (9 and 10's not published yet though). :P
My favorite would probably be Dune by Frank Herbert. The entire series has an intricate and captivating storyline that doesn't just fade out after the first couple of books.
