yeah i did everything manualy. But I drew the idea using my tablet first and then made the drawing transparent and on new layers I made paths for one side for each object. I copied and flipped to get the other side.
The tech brushes are not orig, i obviously downloaded those, and the font i played around with, but everything else is orig.
Hmm.. the oval was orig. white. I ctrl clicked on the layer and filled it with the base color before going to town with the high lights. Looks like when I did the fill it didn't get all of it hence the edge of it is a bit poxy, will have to fix that.
Also the curve above the oval aint the best. Does anyone know how to copy and merge to work paths? I can't figure out how to merge to points together.

i saved it as a png, which is better for transparancy than gif. problem is all the n0n-1337 people will be using IE and will see the background as grey. If your 1337 and using Firefox then will be fine.
I avoid gif because it reduces the colour depth, which I can't stand. i like 8-bit or 24-bit, but then i may not know how to get the best out of gif, will have to read up on it.
thinking of writing some software that will have a popup like the above to hang of an edge of your screen, showing stats on your puter like temp, hd free and the like. It would be partialy transparent so you woudl see windows behind it, hence why i did a themed sig like that.
Please comment if you got some ideas on how to improve.
