I have an i-pod nano and have dropped it down wooden stairs, and rolled over it with my pc chair, and it still works perfect.
its scratched to fuck but it still plays music :)

^^You forgot to mention those...
I have a 30g video by the way.
And for the mp3 player, if 200$ is your absolute maximum, then perhaps you should check out the iPod mini, or the Creative Zen Micro.
I have an iPod mini. It works well. Gets the job done. I don't give a crap about Colour Screens or any of the little things that come with other mp3 players, playing music is what you buy an mp3 player for, and an iPod does that well, so that's why i love my iPod. :)
You guys know that the quality of the sound is due to the compression of the mp3 and the headphones right, not the player, unless it's got a soundcard and all that in it?
The sound on my iPod is fine. I have no complaints about the sound.Quote:

most ipods break from a single drop, depends how high you drop it from. screws up pretty often too. My bro had to get his fixed four times a year.
PS: you're nano must be made from steel
we're turning this to an ipod discussion o.o
Another good one, is Creative Zen Micro 20GB
Its cost around £149 GBP
Dunno how much it would be in USD

well the sony ones are very expensive and I like a large screen for browsing through your lists, I thought about an i-River
the iRiver H10 Pure 5 GB red but I dont know if its better than the nano.. other than the storage capacity

very expensive?
ipod=300+ dollars
sony= 110-200 dollars
:blink:
In holland they are pretty expensive ( the sony ones, and I dont like them really:S )
but I get the nano..
my parents mostly spent 80 usd for a bdaypresent.. so I should have to pay like 120 usd myself.
that's why I would go for the I-River, but my mom's got a new abonnement for her phone and she gets a new phone with ipod nano.
So than I have to pay 50 usd in stead of 120.. So ill have the nano :)
