I wouldn't really say setting those limits is a good idea, Element has been working with c4d for awhile. Its become his forte, so restricting him like that doesn't seem like a fair battle to me. People will judge on style and effort, so whether or not it has 3d in it is irrelevant. You said you've been around this stuff for 3+ years (nice, me too by the way. I'm about halfway through my 4th year in this.). If thats the case, then as you said you know what you're talking about so style shouldn't be a problem.
