If you dont like USA, get out. THats all I gotta say
I guess most of the people posting here are American?
Just wondered because it's pretty stupid the way someone quoting that Iraq was on the verge of a genocide before coalition forces moved in. That's just complete and utter bullshit, is that what they teach in your schools to justify the war? The same way your failed effort in Vietnam was ''swept'' under the rug so to say.
Oh wait it was SIIIIIIIDRA who said it, get the **** out. Kids like you who attempt to talk about serious issues whilst not having the slightest idea of what's going on need to jump out before you do damage. Seriously, ''you'' went in? WTF it's a joint effort, UK/US/Australian forces all playing their part in a very torn out and painful battle in Iraq.
Just to straighten it out Iraq was no where near a state of mass genocide before ''joint forces'' moved in, and anyone who tries to tell you otherwise smokes too much crack. Forces moved in because off Saddam's resistance to allow UN officials inspect suspected Nuclear active sites. He was also wanted for war crimes including the gassing of the Kurds yes, but to go ahead and try save the day claiming your country came in simply to save genocide is so ****ing stupid it surpasses me.
I just realised I've completley dug up this thread with my shovel, **** me it was May! But I don't care, you need to understand that for anyone [even Americans] who find residence outside the US it's extremley clear to see your patriotic ignorance, learn the facts before preaching the word.
Out <------------
Actually we went and got Saddam because he was an evil dictator leading a bad country and making it worse. And yes, Saddam did kill his own people so you learn, k?
And we dont learn about wars in school /*/.
Learn about AMERICANS before you trash us. K?
Why should USA not interfere:
* The war can not be won, you cant change the opinion of the groups in Darfur of each other.
* America will get another enemy and will loose a lot men and money there.
* America has enemies who will take this chance to damage the image of the USA.
* America should not decide about other peoples land. If they do, war will break out again sooner or later.
I think that wars can't be won by killing civillians. Whatever the USA do, they can't give both parties what they want.
The UN should only be used for reconstruction and medical aid etc.
This is all my opinion.
I'm not going to get into a slanging match with someone who is completley ignoring the point.Quote:

Saddam was a dictator yes....Cuba is still in dictatorship, does that mean you will move in on them? A country being run by a dictator doesn't automatically grant the country as undergoing a genocide. He killed his own people, you kill your own people? We could go all back to basics here and argue how the killing of one man is different to the killing of another. Yes Iraq imposed the death penalty, yes Saddam personally imposed the death penalty almost trigger happy, but that's not the reason coalition forces moved in. It was, and I'm not going to argue point of view because it's fact, because Saddam and his goverment refused UN inspectors access to potential Nuclear weapon development sites. Yes maybe the US felt even more justified to move in on Saddam because George Bush sr. had failed to solve the situation back in the first Gulf war, which if you didn't know was as a direct result of Saddam's decision to gas thousands of Kurds, an issue which should have doomed Saddam to his fate, but which in-turn didn't.
And you speak about bad countries. China kills more of its people than any country in the world, it probably did ten-fold that of Iraq back under Saddam's leadership. Yes, I know the population density of China far surpasses any other country but if averaged it would still come top. So why don't you move in on them? Is that your only forseeable justified reason. Your leaders, nor ours, nor any [including NATO/UN] can attempt to enter foreign soil legally without justified reasons, and I'm afraid you can see a high rate death penalty is not one. So it has to be because of other reasons Iraq was entered and forcefully stabilised [which it's no where near] and that was because of what I said above.
But all that aside, you can't simply claim a country undergoing harsh leadership/civil conflict is simply undergoing genocide. It's politically incorrect. Someone, as I type this will be unfortunatley killed by a murderer. But I can't go ahead and claim the whole state/county/region around that person is in the middle of a mass murdering civil war can I? There need to be hard facts to generalise a whole area; such as a country as going through mass murder throughought its province. Which if you were wondering, is what comes under a genocide. Genocide simply means an attempt to completley wipe out a cultural or racial group. And Saddam, at the time of coaltition forces moving in was not trying to do that.
And I didn't trash every American, just those who let patriotism get infront of common sense and fact.
Goodnight.
actually we did move in on Cuba
Bay of Pigs
Sent guys to kill Saddam, didnt work. We lost that one, dont wanna try again.
K? k.
Yeah but you moved in on Cuba over a missile crisis, not because the country was under a dictatorship.
And you sent guys to kill Saddam, didn't work so you don't wanna try it again? Sorry to upset you but you have tried again, which your in the middle of now and you have captured Saddam, he's on trial for war crimes against humanity.
/golfclap
I said, we didnt try CUBA again
No that's what you said actually, I reckon anyone with an unbiased opinion here would warrant that being about Saddam, who inturn ruled Iraq :rolleyes:Quote:
