I never said that we should omit the deaths caused by the war, that would be terrible not to honor those who have died. What I said was that updating us with the body count every day and not mentioning any of the positive things is like propaganda because it isn't just to inform us about the war, there is an agenda behind that.
Reminds me of 1 video of a man from Arizona that was killed. His parents spoke on the news, because they were honoring all of the soldiers that died.Quote:

The son wrote the parents about how he hated the news saying all of the negative stuff in Iraq. He was a soldier, and he said he wishes the news would actually show some of the GOOD they have done. He says it wasnt that bad in Iraq and its only getting better.
I think most of the people opposed to this war are just brainwashed by the democratic media. All they talk about is the death counts. Actually talking to soldiers is the only real way to know what is really going on. Static made a great point and said that it was only getting better, which is right. My cousin had a tour in Iraq about 2 months ago. He came back with a smile on his face and pride in his heart. He told me that when he got there (he served a 1 and 1/2 yr term) it wasn't bad (reffering to the amount of attacks). When he left, everything was more calm and the people of Iraq were cooperating with Iraqi police and officials to catch and eliminate the terrorists, which is how they found al-Zarqawi.

They did not get rid of dictatorship. There are dictators in Saudi Arabia, China, Syria, Sudan (genocide is apparently occuring there), Zimbabwe, and a ton of others. Some of these dictators we don't eliminate is because of business deals, such as our buying oil from Saudi Arabia. Dictatorships are far from being stopped.Quote:

In my opinion, they wont leave Iraq until they've fully converted to a democracy. This is only evident because the Allies left Germany to figure their own government out after WWI, then look what happens in WWII; dictators rise to power.
Also, I doubt the U.S. will completely leave Iraq. We will always have soldiers there; we've left them at any place we've fought a war in so far since after WWII (i.e. Vietnam, etc).
