Thanks for the comments guys :) He is right though, it would be difficult to make a tutorial for this sort of thing because it isn't applying deformers/modifiers, its doing actual modelling. It's also creating materials and setting up the right lighting. Those aspects, especially in 3ds max, take a lot of practice and messing around with everything. There isn't really a way to do a tutorial that would encompass all of that. The best way to learn how to use a program and do that sort of thing is to just try. That and play with all of the settings. I still learn new things every day by playing with different light and material settings.
