Reason being.. 1 word.. ; Grunge.. I can definitely agree with you there. Also, I might mention that most of my newer stuff with my own photography lacks the amount of encumbersome small detail that I mess around with on these pieces. Unfortunately, my only response is simply that I make artwork that I find visually pleasing, and I spend as much time as I find necessary on them, thus it is your judgment that decides if my "ages spent" are in vain. (On another note, I don't mean to sound like I'm pointing my finger at you. I'm really not. I appreciate your comment much more than the "that's really good work!" comments. I'm just giving a response.)


Ultimately, I'll conclude with a mere guideline that I follow, and I suggest that all other artists do too: Make art for yourself.

Four simple words, but the meaning is so true. I think that's usually how the very best art is made. Making things with the point of others liking it, rather than ones self, doesn't seem to involve the same level of passion about the art.

My favorites out of what you posted: #4 from the larger pieces and #2 of the sigs.
