Theres a fair amount of musical talent in here it would seem, You must be quite handy with a piano smiler :)
I play the guitar.
However, I write for everything, piano, keyboard, bass, guitar, ukelele. You don't learn how to play an instrument, you learn how to play music.
ye im pretty good at piano could be better cos ive moved teachers alot nd tht doesn't help! :(
I got my black-jack supercheap... the model I got is about 550 dollars normally but I got it on ebay for 370ish. It was previously used, but there's no noticable damage. Once I get more money I might get a Hagstrom Swede because I want a Les-Paul type guitar.
MY band is pretty much dead right now because I live in a really small town and we can't find a drummer, so my brother and I are pretty unmotivated. I still practice and write a lot, though.
I find writing is a bitch for me, im fine at playing songs and improvisation, but it seems i feel i can acheive more when im working with a person who plays guitar or bass, except i recently left my hometown to move to the gold coast(Mid east coast) , so i have noone to practise with, except tutors ofcoarse :/
And by the way nice price for the blackjack.
Drums are cool though. The general consensus is that "Good guitar players are tough to find", and that's kind of bullshit. Everyone and their mum plays guitar (granted it's tough to find original guitarists). The real difficulty is finding a steady bassist, and even moreso a good drummer... We've tried out multiple drummers but all have been either preoccupied or barely skilled.
On the other hand, I still try to maintain the belief and motto that as long as you're enjoying music, you're on the right track. It really bothers me when people get tied up in "I can play guitar better than you!" fights -- especially over the internet. The largest reason I've always been drawn to music (hell, even the arts in general) is that they're cooperative activities and not competitive jock-fests.
