1. Make a new document 2 by 2 pixels.
2. Reset your colors by pressing D on your keyboard.
3. Grab the pencil and make a pixel in the top left side and the bottom right side.
4. Go to Edit > Define New Pattern (I think.. something along those lines) and save the pattern.
5. Apply by making a new layer (top hierarchy) and go into Pattern Overlay. Select your pattern.
That should work for you quite nicely. :)
The sig does look great, though. Excellent brushwork and the render is phenominal. 8/10 overall without the fence, 7/10 with it. It makes it too dark.

meh, thanx for the go at it on the angled scan lines....but it just fills every other pixel like a checkerboard.... im gonna try something along those lines tho....(NO PUN INTENDED :P (wow im cool....)) yes, i made that render in c4d.neways, ty for the input
