The smudge element is too damn blurry! It really takes away from the color. Depth is not acheived by blurring your bg or fg! Proper color and lighting and contrast is what really helps to achieve depth! Not much to say. Work on your composition. I'm sure the color could have been a blast but the blurred fg ruined it.
