oh thats not to say I agree with the use of brush packs for artistic useage. from an artistic point of view I find that the use of brush packs is very limiting. Doing things like tech or maybe some abstract brush work I can understand, but when the majority of the 'objects' in the render is actualy brushes....
Some peices I have seen in here have been all brush work, especialy when the subject is space. This to me limits the artist to only what brushes they can find, which reduces the uniqueness of the work and the potential for what can be done. This means that all they do is composite a peice of work, which means that everyone starts looking very similar after a while.
so Illegal, I understand your view and subscribe to it. But I also agree with un43 and don't like throw away comments that made un43 post this.
Yea, i agree. The only time i use brushes is for space scapes, sometiems for tech, and sometimes for grunge work. That is why i wanna make my own grunge brushes so i can do it how i want.
Possibly members are getting sick of people constantly asking for brushes, filters, or whatever.
Hopefully the questions will cease once GFXVoid Downloads gets up. I plan on hosting brushes from any site I can find.
