On the first one I think you made a mistake with the border. The right one doesn't go all the way to the top and the left one doesn't make it to the bottom. If that was your intention then I don't really like it.
Nice smudge though but I hate his hair .
On the second I like the effects and colour. But on the right I see some grainy looking effects that take away from the flow and the feel
