I like it :) I have to say that I've seen something like this before, but I like how you've put your own spin on it xD
The concept is great! However there are many blending/lighting errors. The focal points (the city/mountains) are low res and by adding the bright blue cities you're making it noticeable. The lighting I don't think is bad but it doesn't seem as affective on a bright background. I'd suggest that you add a little more depth.
I love the POV type of thing that you've done with the cave because it really gives a clear view of the focal.
