Why dont you make a Tut of your background it will be good for noobs
lol, cuz i have noooo idea what i did :P
After you have learned the stuff that Cold Cataclyst said (xP), you probably want to get more advanced. I suggest that you DON'T get stuck doing signatures day in and day out. It doesn't give anything, and I believe the most respected members here are those who has moved on from sigs to "real" digital art like vectoring, 3D, advanced photo manipulation, etc. So, repeat these three words as you look around in the signature forum: "Signatures are bad!"
Go look at others art. DeviantART is a great place to get inspiration and ideas. When you have looked around, you might notice that you are attracted to a certain type of art. In my case it was space art (building space scenes with planets and nebulae and stuff). So, when you see something you like, try making something like it, try to expand your knowledge. After a while, if you find something unique that no one else does, you will become famous around here. :)
hehe ic, well i am intrested in 3d art, like the one i posted here with the blue sphere, ill check out DA.
but tuto's are easy.. i find it very difficult if i have something in my head, to figure out what tools to use, and how to use them.
edit: not the one iu posted here i mean the post called "couple of artworks"
Yeah, of course it's hard if you don't know the program. That's why I said "After you have learned the stuff that Cold Cataclyst said". ;)
When you know the tools and stuff, it's easier to slove problems. When I'm in a difficult situation, I just think a bit, then I have solved it. Photoshop has no limits, the only limit is yourself! ;) Ok, Photoshop can't do 3D and stuff, but what the hell, it sounded good. :P
dont stay away from filters, stay away from filter whoring.
the next couple things you should try are combining brush sets, and filters, then maybe a real drawing, colouring it in, learn your own style, dont copy every one elses.
Its not like im aganst tuts, just dont make every image from a tut, move into your own style, your own methods, and then the image will truly become yours.
i have an other question,
why does everybody use PS mainly? instead of Illustrator.
I think more people use PS b/c their is so much more stuff you can do then in illustrator!!
EDIT - this is randyrandy's post..sorry i keep messing up.
because illustrator is a vector program, and all you can do is make vector based images. photoshop has the ability to use vector and and raster, even though photoshop displays vectors on a pixel grid.
