yeah pleymo, its good but its not professional, you cant read anything, and really you want neutral/pastel colors for a website, not black.
and spekta, i know you may want to tell him whats right, but thats no way to go about it, especially when we have younger people here who might be offended by that

The text in the banner is hard to read, the content area should be black, that may improve it a bit, I think spekta was a bit harsh telling it like it is but you do need stop taking bad critisism to heart, use it to improve your work. I had to delete some of the swearing in spekta's post as it was a bit strong for the younger members of the community.

well before everyone jumps on me for being harsh too, i'm in university and just finished advanced web design last semester so it kills me to see layouts like this so i couldn't help but comment although i will try to be helpful.
first off, the number one priority when making a website layout is to ensure that people will be able to view the content on your site and easily read the text since thats all a website is, a medium for sharing your message/ideas with the world. but if someone sees your site and immediately can't read the text because its black on a grey/black brushed background then chances are they won't continue looking at your site and move on.
and as for the size of text, the main title or header should be the largest since it is the first thing a person should read as they enter your site.
the home page itself should outline the purpose of your website and have easy navigation to the rest of the content on your site. you seem to have done that part well with the nav bar along the top and the update menu down the side.
another suggestion would be to resize the size of the pages so there is no unneccesary scrolling, like where the page scrolls through empty space just to have the copyright bar at the bottom. my resolution is at 1024x768 and the front page still doesn't fit on my screen entirely so i'm sure someone viewing your site at 800x600 would have a harder time navigating your site. remember to keep in mind that other people will be viewing your site at different screen resolutions and with different browsers.
oh and i know that Deap already pointed this out but the frame sizing needs to be adjusted too but thats a minor mistake, just be sure to have a look through your site and make sure its polished before you present it.
make some minor adjustments and colour changes and this would be a decent layout.

Hate it when peopple say "rabieshund style" rabieshund is a damned good artist but thats because he is unique and doesn't copy other people, try your own style and people may try and copy you but at least your original. Gave critique 2 posts ago just giving my 2 cents this time.
