thanks everyone for your comments. db i totally didn't realize the one color mouth, thanks for pointing that out. but i used all of your suggestions to fix the eyes, nose, and mouth as best i could. and i changed some of the facial lines so that shouldn't make him look so old. lemme know how the changes look.

oh and a question for psypher. when you said use gradients did you mean actually apply a gradient or add more levels of color, because i thought gradients weren't truly vector?

you can add vectored gradients in illus, or any other vector program, buty not in psQuote:

you can, but it would be cheating really.
just turn the path into a selection, new layer, and make the gradient.
its not a real vector, but it does the job well enough.

Update is better, but now he doesn't look as mad. Try different levels of shading and lines. Great update though.
