lol not married, divorced fiev years now (or six not realy counting). was married 10 years. but one thing i have learned in life, guys get it a hell of a lot better than women.
but in many ways women are a lot bettr at things than we are. Sure most males can read a map easier and can do more mechanical or logical tasks. but women have better social skills, tend to be better communicators and make better managers.
I think my opinion is because I'm realy a lesbian trapped in a males body...

Lol, I love how most of the guy's replies are about women staying home and watchin' Jerry Springer. Women have moved up in social class and working enviroments over the years. Most don't stay at home and make dinner as you beckon us.. girls have become independent so quick that men are still amazed at what we accomplish. And we wouldn't be watching Jerry Springer, OPRAH, DUH.
Btw, men have it easier.. they don't have a period or give birth.
i never said that girls stay at home :P personaly i love staying at home and watching Jerry Springer.. .dont like Oprah thugh.

I think guys have it better. Why?
* We don't have periods
* When we make a child, we aren't left with flabby tummies and stretch marks
* We get less wrinkles than women in old age

Anyways, guys and gals have pretty much an even trade when you consider that guys culturally have to work and support the family. Sure, a women has more physical upkeeping to do, and she has to take care of the family from the inside, but the man has to work his ass off to keep his family alive.
We live in the 21st century and I believe women should also have the opportunity to work and make a living (not just stay at home with the kids)
The parental responsibilty should depend on the mother and father, I believe.

I have nothing against women having equal opportunity, though I would never have my wife work. When it comes to romance and having I'm a traditional man... and if my wife has to work it means I'm not doing enough to be able to support her myself. Just because it's the 21st century doesn't mean we have to change. Our society was developed without women in the workplace, and many societies before our time have come and gone without even giving it a second thought. Governments don't need to allow women to work, they're sismply appeasing the feminists.
This said though, you're right... women do have it easier. With movements like this, they're trying to not have to do what they should be doing.
in my point in life, guys have it much easier
they dont have to worry about nonimportant stuff that we are forced to worry about (hip clothes, makeup, etc)
like liquidchild mentioned, guys dont get periods
women have to make the kids, take care of the kids
man this is an old thread, and its been done to death. Any male of senior years will be willing to admit that girls have it a lot harder.
In the work place they have to complete with 'the boys club' and sexism (which is still wide spread, though not as in your face). Some guys just presume that women cannot do what a man can do, and thus they suffer from lack of promotion, lower pay rates, etc. Some guys only see women as a 'thing' to be used for the purposes of sex.
Thats without even going into the issues of stereotypes in western society, the male dominated and male centred societies of the muslims and a lot of third world countries as well. Any society that requires a dowry looks down at women as a cost to the family and can be treated as lower than the animals. Some societies blame women for rape, and see the guy as the victim because the woman must have caused the guy to rape her.
Then there is the issue of the impact of STD's. With men, not much bad can happen other than embaresing warts or maybe a smelly discharge, women can get cancer as a result.
Also women have to put up with the results of their reproduction system, how men expect women to be responsible for contraception, how men always try to get out of using condoms, how women have all sorts of problems with the pill, or menopause, etc.
I mean lets be a little bit rational about it, instead of just thinking "god women can get sex whenever they want, but cause i can't pick up women must have it so much easier".

oh? Do you have some examples to support this? Even if you do, people constantly reinvent what has previously been invented, even a cursory look at history and the development of the steam engine will prove this. And most of them were men reinventing what other men had developed.Quote:

And as I said in a previous post, analysis of which sex is better based on one specific area is not the best way to debate this topic. You havn't covered time management, language, creative arts, human resources (people manahement) and a host of other skill sets that are based on different parts of the brain, of which women excel at.
All men can boast about is their spatial awareness and deductive logic abilities. I mean, men can't even have multiple orgasms!

So in australia, the non custodial biological parent pays through the nose. Btw, I should note that there is no requirement for there to be proof of who the father is, other than the mother claiming who it is.

I don't think that either sex is always has it worse, or always has it better. You can compare two people of opposite genders, but not all men vs all women.
yes your right... in specific cases the one who has it better will change... but in a society you can be general, specialy when you compare different social economic groups. same as looking at issues with access to health services, education oportunities, drug related crime, home invasions... often they fit into groups.
Women have disatvantages both because of problems inherit in different social econmoic groups and because of physical issues. at the same time they have advantages in other social economic groups and because of physical issues.
I'd like to make a point for us guys here.
Getting hit in the balls is worse than a peroid. My proof for this is simple. You've seen girls walking around during their peroids? have you ever seen a guy walking around right after getting hit in the balls? So the "we have peroids" thing isn't working for me. We have targets between our legs, which every flying object seems to aim for. And sometimes you even sit on them and you feel like you're going to puke. It's alot worse than you can possibly imagine. The pain...it goes through you're entire body. This is no disomfort and bloating, we're talking double over in the fetal position, dry heaving, pain.
Like I said in my first post, women have it worse than guys do in a lot of ways.
But the more I think about it... I think both sexes are so tailored to their roles and societies expectations of them that neither one has a more difficult time dealing with it. I don't know if a women could do a guys job, and I'm sure a guy couldn't do a womens job. I think we each do our own jobs well enough though.
