I believe in God ,but i HATE those preachers and pastors who try to teach thier ideals to good to you and i kinda hate church.
I have my own bible and can interpret anyway i want no one needs to tell me what the bibles states because im individual but thats the way the world is people wanting you to see thier views.
anyway thats my points.
I believe religon is a system of control, thus I don't believe in god. But I let people believe in what they wish...

? Somehow that doesn't work. God is preached as all fair, and wise and knowledgeable. He forgives, and teaches, counsels, advises. But he wouldn't purely want you to worship him if he is such the 'man' that people say he is.

If you're so gung-ho about your bible, then you should know where. Dont come rambling your mouth at me half-assed and unarmed. If you would read your own damn bible, then you would know where... but since you need proof I will find it. First of all, explain something to me your "Christians" or "Catholics" or whatever the hell you are calling yourselves...
If God is all loving, all encompassing love-y goodness... why does he need a hell to send the "bad" people? My take on your bible, there is no hell. As soon as I find the name of the book, then I'll let you know. But you should take a look at it. Why would God give us free will, and then punish us for it?
As for being hell bound... what can I say? You do what you're good at. If your bible is "correct" then I was always going to hell. So, I'm embracing a culture.

The Creator => It is only logical to believe that before anything was created there had to be a Creator. It is, also, only logical to believe that this Creator had to be an eternal being without beginning or end and that nothing could be like this Creator. It is this Unique Being Whom the Quran calls Allah the Lord, the Only Supreme Being worthy of worship.
Allah the Almighty stated this about Himself: He is Allah than Whom there is La ilaha illa Huwa (none who has the right to be worshipped but He), the ALl-Knower, of the unseen and the seen (open). He is the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. He is Allah than WHom there is La ilaha illa huwa (none who has the right to be worshipped but He), the King, the Holy, the One Free from all defects, the Giver of security, the Watcher over His creatures, the All Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allah! (High is He) above all that they associate as partners with Him. He is Allah the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belongs the Best Names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All- Mighty and the All Wise. (Ch 59:22-24)
When Allah the Most High decided to create the earth, sun, planets, stars, and the galaxies--- those that are known and those that are unknown to us-- He commanded them: "Be!" and they were. Almighty Allah said: Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, Be!" and it is! (Ch 36:82)
As for the method of creation, it is unknown to us except what Allah revealed, which is that He created the heavens and the earth and the spaces in between in six days.
Allah the Exalted declared: Allah it is He Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them in six Days. (Ch 32:4)
These six days are calculated as Allah the Almighty's days. This means they are not like our days on earth, as we count the day according to the earth's rotation once around its axis and the year according to its orbit around the sun. Perhaps these six days are thousands of years, or even millions of centuries, by our calculation nowadays, or perhaps they are more or less than that. They might be something totally different by Allah's reckoning.
Allah told us that He created the heavens, the earth, and everything that is between them in six days, the established Himself on the throne of the universe. Everything submitted to His will; everything was indebted to Him; everything prostrated and showed reverence to Almighty Allah. He controlled the working of everything and everything needed Him. He is the One Who needs nothing and no one, but everything was everyone needs Him. All was complete. Allah the Almighty's will had been accomplished. The universe was created and had prostrated to Him as a symbol of its needs and its desire for sustenance and in submission to His will.

I have nothing against people who want to believe in god, in-fact two of my best friends are going to college to be youth pastors, so I have no problem with that. But you cant tell me that in any way shape or form the "bible" is logical, or even half-possible. Think about your options for a minute: on one hand you have a scientifically proven theory explaining the development of man, and on the other, someone who lives in the sky and has unlimited power over the universe did it... God and the bible are nice ideas of course, but those who believe literally that there is a god are painfully misguided. Take it for what it is, a set of suggested guidelines for living, and a way for the meek to comprehend the creation of the universe.
If you're going to believe in God, I hope you believe in Santa Clause too.
Look at it this way,
They can both see you all the time and know everything that you do.
They both reward those who are "good" (dont get me started on that either) and punish those who are "bad".
And if you do what they want you to, they'll give you all the nice things you've always wanted.
And I sincerely hope someone tells me that Santa Clause is merely a made up character... and hopefully you'll catch my point at the same time.

No I don't believe in Santa because there is no proof! I believe in God because there is proof! Many times in my life there have been miraculous things happen..When I went on a ski trip I found $100 laying in the snow...and I need money for an upcoming trip..and there it was...One day I needed a ride home from school...so I started walking home thinkin...what if I saw someone I knew and in the middle of that thought one of my friends called over and asked if I needed a ride home...You can believe what you wanna believe but Santa Claus doesn't make miracles bud..Quote:

Seems to me God used to do a lot of talking back in the day, like full out speaking to the people... I dunno about you but I havent heard from the dude in years, 21 to be exact. Where's your explaination for that? Proof god exists? I see tsunami's wiping out millions of people in a month, terrorists killing for THEIR god (explain that), and even more murders than ever before. If you ask me Id say God has more need for Hell than ever.

I've looked at other religons...they aren't any good..(no offense if your another religon)...but I believe that there is a God because "Chrsitianity has something no other religon has...thats the Grace of God...without that (in my own beliefs) I wouldn't even be here right now.. Well they got something right. The party is definatly in hell, if such a place exists. I have a book (I dont know the title at this time, I'll get back to you on it later today) that says that Hell is just a place that people tell their children about to keep them in line. He wrote this book saying God was talking through him. That he was not cognizant of a damn thing he wrote. This man is a certified pastor/preacher/whatever-the-fuck and he wrote that the bible is just truly an outline for you to live your life by. The rules then dont always apply to the world today, and that its a basic outline that the men who wrote it decided to be just that, men. They wrote the bible adding in their own bits and pieces. He then continue to wrote that hell does not exist. He wrote that God gave man free will and would not punish people for using it. He even wrote (as outlandish as this sounds) that Hitler is in Heaven. His reasoning is that Hitler had used his free will to do what he did, and we allowed him to use his free will over us. We allowed ourselves to become submissive to him and allowed these things to happen. Hitler was no better at using his free will than any one of that tiem period, people just thought he was and in turn became submissive to him and his demands. Like I said, I'll get the title of the book for you later.
That's quite true and makes alot of sense. Even though i don't know much about the bible, i do know that they contradict some things quite alot. And yeah , i agree , it was written about 1800 years ago , and that was when science didn't exist, and some super being was the only way to explain it all .
( It being anything bad or majorly good )
So I guess your gonna follow this man's opinion because he wrote a book on it?...I can write a book and be a certified preacher, contradicting everything it says in that other book....so? Your just following another set of "guidelines"

I wanna know that if we are given choice now to do good or bad and we we're created by god or something more than us why do we live such a short while on earth, and if we do bad we are eternally punished for being created for a short purpose or chosing bad over good in what it's said to be such a short time here.
Just being punished forever and only having a little time here seems over kill or something like that.
Oh and does it say somewhere we wanted to be created? If we are made to live here and get punished for what we do here and it's said we have will, in the start, did we chose to be created?

The book is called Conversations with God. And I'm not following what this man said, I just happen to hold an opinion very much like his own. I think that the Christians are just being stupid.
