Well in another thread where you where calling Naztek a noob, he called you a ripper. And you denied that you had ever ripped.
So you lied right there. And if you didn't know any better how was it a joke? And why did you respond to the cnc he gave you?

@ Octane: A rip is a rip, no matter when you did it. Even if you supposedly didn't know about ripping, its still a rip. Just tell the truth so that everyone can stop lying and flaming.
-I called Nazteck a noob because he was flaming me, and saying his sigs were a lot better than mine, and I said it out of pure anger.
-I never denied that I ripped that sig, and I do realize a rip is a rip, that's like saying, eating is eating. That doesn't mean that you didn't intend to do what you did.
Well, sidra, I bet you feel really proud now that everyone thinks im a jerk. You never told us the reason for starting this thread, even after you knew I had ripped 6 months ago.

This is just getting stupid now and everyone keeps saying the same things over and over. Sidra said what he had to and Octane said what he had to. Theres more than enough information here for eveyone to make up their own mind about Octane.

I made a sig for the guy requesting already in that thread, but then after it he posted sigs that he wanted it to look like, and one of them was yours, so I took it, and as a joke pushed out the name, and put a pistol on it. If you knew me well at the time you would have known it was a joke from my stupid humor, but things got mis-interpreted over the internet, and no one caught it...
El!te (a freind from my school) knew it was a joke from me when he read it, but that's probably because he knew me better than anyone else on the forums.
Also, even with my name change, why did you bring this up now?
This thread is really starting to annoy me, I'm tired of the flaming and bickering, will someone please just close it.
Ignoring who is involved and looking at just what it sounds happened, I can understand how both sides are feeling. I see it as more of a miscommunication than anything.
It looks like Octane looked at the signatures that were shown to him as examples of what the recipient of the signature wanted and used one. The joke being (I'm guessing) he just gave the recipient exactly what he wanted by giving him one of the examples of what to follow.
That being said, I think that Octane could have handled it better. He should have made it clearer in his explanation and apology what happened and what was intended. I can understand why Sidra isn't happy. He's seeing how people will jump at the chance to attack someone like FadeToBlack, but because this was done a few months ago, that time annuls the misdeed, it doesn't matter and that it has voided his right to be angry and to express it.
When he's talking about you, madball, he's just saying that you like to pick and choose the people you'll stand behind and those you'll do quite the opposite.
I don't, though, condone the attitude SK is having. This can all be handled much more effeciently if its repaired with a little more order.

Actually no it wasn't a cheap shot. All i'm saying is that I hope it wasn't just a generic grunge sig, kinda like what we've all churned out by the dozens.
As for how balanced I am, I know Octane about as well as I know you. Which is not at all, so stop crying conspiracy theory. I know how bad you want to make me and the other staff look like tyrants so everyone feels so sorry for you and takes your side. You wouldn't be the first to try that sleazeball tactic and you certainly won't be the last.
As for questioning my maturity, that's pretty funny coming from a guy whos crying over a sig some noob ripped from him 6 months ago.

Actually Jack if you read the entire thread you would see that in his original thread I didn't choose a side as you say I did.
The main reason I trashed the thread is because I knew it would turn into a piece of garbage just like this one. It makes it look like a bunch of 10 year olds come to this site. I would prefer to not have it look that way but, I will leave that decision up to Metal from now on.

If you want an example, I'll refer to the fadetoblack incident. Equal and Fade have had a personal battle for a long time and when they started to go at it, you clearly picked sides. Equal said something completely offensive when Fade was apologizing (though he threw an insult or two back) and you, being a moderator/admin, simply quoted Equal and posted an emoticon saying "Owned". That didn't seem balanced nor did it seem appropriate, especially considering your position here. All I meant by that is if you're going to claim to be a balanced figure of authority, then at least be consistent.

Let me make this really clear for everyone, I have no friends here. I do not take any sides because I like one member more than the other. The only person I ever talk to on MSN is Metal and even that is a rarity. So all these accusations of taking sides is pretty rediculous. If I said "owned" then it was probably because Equal said something that I thought deserved a "owned".
Just because i'm staff doesn't mean I can't talk a little shit with the rest of the members. I'm here to enjoy myself, and i'm not gonna worry about looking all proffesional for you guys.

Madball, I never said you had to watch what you say and act professional. All I said was if youre going to claim to be balanced, then live up to that claim. The example I gave was a serious one because in some cases it can result in a ban etc. You can joke around all you want, but being that you are an admin, don't you think that it'd be wise to be serious when its fitting to the situation? Sorry Jack, I looked for the thread you were reffering to but I couldn't find it. I don't think it's fair to just take what I said out of the entire thread you're talking about and say that it makes me biased.
If you really read this thread thoroughly you will see that I never tell SK that he's wrong for what he did, I just don't think it's as big a deal as it was made out to be.
I even posted earlier, "is ripping wrong yes... did octane rip yes". So if people would just slow down and actually read whats being said, instead of just trying to manipulate things this wouldn't have gotten so carried away.
Also I have never banned or suggested a ban for anyone for ripping, flaming or just talking shit. The only people I have ever banned are the ones who join and just pm members with advertising.

I do agree that if this were somebody like krazy or metal that had gotten ripped a few months ago, people would be all over it. Some time has passed yes, but he still did it and its being brought up now because Sidra only realized it was octane a few days ago.

On topic: I think octane understands what ripping is, but I think he still does some type of ripping; the ripping of ideas.

I know that its hard to find ideas to make sigs, and he probably resorted to looking at one and then taking the ideas and made his own. They look almost the same, and have the same scanline pattern, which is very odd. The same color scheme, and the text is in the same place, border has the same style. I really dont think this was accidental. I think theres a side to octane he hasn't told us or we don't know about.
