I think my render looks cool now, but it looks flaT!
It has totally no deapth, and if I add a material, it looks like it's a shaped disk!!
What to do now?

Hey everyone i've just joined the gfxvoid forums as i've just started getting back into Bryce; i'm also learning Cinema 4D and this tutorial helped me a lot! Thanks a bunch.
Make sure when you go to try the matrix extrude that you're on the polygon tool - worked for me.Quote:

1st day with this, pretty good with PS thought id try this out...i did like 6 tuts alrdy, no real problems, but when ever i try to do use the POINTS tool i just drag the axis...but i did get past that part once and mine ended up looking like shit...huge mess, also can u send me those materials.
Just download the render.
how do u save it as a png or anythin like that? cuz when i save it it saves as some other thing

Try pixel2life for rendering tutorials. They show you the ideal render settings for highest quality renders.

Q. where do i find that nice material u used on your final result?
It is now available to download as a resource file, check out My DA page for more info. The material is embedded into the .c4d file, just copy and paste it into yours.

I have edited the tutorial, stating that before you can matrix extrude you need to equip the polygon tool.
I lovd this when it came out. And i still do :D. A reflective / glassy / glossy object would look awesome on this, shame i can't make textures for anything =(
