Pro Planet Tutorial

Awesome tutorial! I'm not to sure how I can use this, but I'm sure I can make something useful because this effect is awesome. Anyways, nice job. Later.

Nice tut, don't like everything you did in the tut, but I won't critize at very good tut. I find the thing to give your planet a glow at the inside highly impressive. Never thought of that! :) Btw) Little tip, that glow will become white as your background layer is white, when you want to change that, simply change the colour of it. But still keep it whit(e)ish.

Thanks for the comment. Actually, I don't use this technique at all. I use the technique Alyn uses, which is much more advanced and gives a better result. :P Check out A Distant View version 2 in the Digital Art section to see a planet created with that technique.
I wrote this tutorial when I was all new to space art, and I used it for my two first space scenes that I posted here. I think it's an ok technique for beginners though. It's not that hard and you can choose how your planet should look. :)

Edit: Oh, I see it now. Nice planet! A little grainy, but it looks good!

I finally got around to doing this, All I did was the planet, didn't bother with anything else since that was my focus. 'cept I'm having trouble getting a more 'rounded' look.

Try doing another Spherize (100%) on the texture layer.

No, sorry. I won't make any changes to this tutorial. It's pretty old and not very current. I was still a beginner to Photoshop when I wrote this. But thanks for liking it. :)

I tried it, got confused and quit, lol. Couldn't understand some of the steps used.
