what I love about Noahs ark is that god chose one family to be saved out of all the people in the world. Im sure more than 6 people were "honorable"

Ok..I believe in the Holy Bible..so heres one answer..Adam and Eve screwed if up in the first place by disobeying God..(eating the apple off the tree) Since they screwed it up...their DNA went down to the families after them (the ones that got wiped out by the Flood). God got rid of them because they were full of sin and Noah and his family were pure...so thats why he chose them..therefore there were no other "honorable" people...Noah completely had faith in God and never disobeyed him!
Sorry for going back 2 pages...you guys posted like 1 1/2 pages worth today...so the first thing I read was on page 9..*the quote above*
XxBLPxX HaVeN :`) u got little bit confused on the Adam Story here read the True Story :`)

and tell me what u think :`)
lol, yeah i know, this has taken off a touch. maybe my fault partly.
Well about the concept around Noah, I have always thought it was a bit extream. Sure using human emotions, we can relate to the feeling of wanting to wipe a whole heap of people out that p*ssed us off. Specialy those slow driving ones in the fast lane!
But we're talking about a devine being who from what everyone says, should be above all this. Most religions put human emotions on their gods, and i woudl say both Muslim and Christain faiths have done the same.
Of course the nature of god could be anything. I mean anyone can jump up and start saying that they have the latest inside scoop on God and what he is about, but I aint seen anyone actualy back it up. Oh sure, the Bible and other texts talk about things that happened ages ago. But that was centuries ago, stuff that is very subjective in analysis as to what actualy went down.
But this is all beside the point. Linguistic arguments based on interpritation of scriptures, regardless of the relligious context, is prone to a massive margin of error. Just look at how long the Catholic Church taught that the Bible states that the world was flat.
But as I posted ealier in this thread, I'm going to abstain from debate. Someone who chose to beleive not based on logic cannot be convinced from such beleif via logic.
And before you ask, many reasons people beleive, most common is socail and family upbringing. Hard to not beleive what you have been taught as truth since before you could walk.
Second is the emotional/social aspect.
I've yet to see anyone convinced by pure logic that they should beleive in any religion.

The middle east has always been recognised as being more scientific. Over the centuries a lot of good stuff has come out of that area. That doesn't mean that God came down and told em this is how it is.
The same as saying that a book that a person had to write could not have possibly known what you just quoted above? Quasi curiuos minds have researched 'science' through out the ages on their own before the formalisation of the concept of science. Anyone involved in the birthing process, health care of pregnant women, etc would have known what you have quoted.
The mechanism for becomming pregnant has been known since the start of recorded history, and it is logical to presume that curious minds would have studied pregnancy, still borns, early term terminations, etc. As such yuor above quote doesn't prove that a god had to tell some bloke to write it down.
Thats even if I accept your attempts at using scriptural quotes to prove an understanding of scientific fact beyond the understanding of people at the time it was written.
Anyway, i'll be back later, gotta go do some work :-(
Basicly, your claiming that god exists, because the people that wrote the Quran were right about a bunch of scientific events, and that they also claim that god exists. You know what, have you ever considered that people could be wrong? Claiming something is completley different then proving something. There is solid evidence that supports the Evoluton theory, but not one solid peice of evidence that proves the existance of God, The Arc, or even Addam and Eve. Those 100 scientists could be wrong.
Now, Im not saying that im right. But, the proof that your throwing at us, just isnt solid. Most of it is people who claim that god exists, because a land formation looks like an arc, and that when people go to space, they find it hard to breathe. Theres a hill at my old school, you know what it looks like? it looks like some old person's ass, lets say I write a really long book, with some stories that "prove" the existance of god, and some where in this book, I mention this hill. This doesnt prove anything about god.
Also, the fact that it doesnt look like you've even researched the other side of the argument, that maybe god doesnt exist leaves alot of holes in your whole story. Another thing... if god doesnt need to prove to us that he exists, then why would he leave so many "signs".
Sorry, I guess im just stubborn.
another Science and Quran Fact :`) i can go for ever lol i just wanna know how ppl 2000 and a half years ago or maybe more that know all this ... :`)
dont forget that they say Recently discovered :`)
The only Thing that u guys can say is "oh that doesnt proove that God exist" thats the only excuse u have hehe :D

How do you explain Larva (catterpillars) EVOLVING to Pupa (chrysalis) To Adult (Butterfly) ?
This is abit off topic though, but I still need to know and clarification of, even though the Quran and the Bible speak of the same characters and possibly the same God how can there be so much religious tension worldwide between the two religions
Although it is off topic I want to know why this is occuring and why there is such prejudice between the two religions
Back to the topic now and why Noahs ark for an example why not choose another. The next person to choose and question an event regarding the Bible, i shall personally research and answer any questions there may be.
