yeah, tortillian. i've never heard anyone actually call it that though. My middle school art teacher called it a tortillion. When I went to an art school in highschool the teacher called it a smudge stick... so go figure. All the people I went to school with called it a blander/shader.

Hehe, thought this topic was dead.
Anyways, the paper isn't really that smudgy. It's just the camera that makes it look like it.
