Hurricane Katrina

I wonder if theyr gonna rebuild it :blink: I mean, the same thing could happen almost any year. and again thousands would die. imo theres no point to rebuild it if it can be destroyed that easily. 1 big storm(well hurricane), thats it.

I read somewhere that iraq war takes up to 100-200 million dollars a day. And that making the dams/walls/whatever strong and high or whatever enough, to hold a storm like that would have taken about 700 million dollars.

and imo the war is a big mistake.
dont say it has kept the terrorists out from usa, so its good. yeah their in europe now, in
european countries that are in the middle east, as allies of the usa.
but hey this has nothing to do with the hurricane.

Theres like 15 thousand people dying in africa in hunger. A DAY. most of them being children. nobody is freaking from day-to-day. And they dont have gas ratings to rise or stock exchanges to close, or vehicles to be destroyed. AND SOME OF THEM DONT HAVE FAMILIES TO GET THE REMAINS!!1
Then something happens in the usa. the whole world freaks.

Oh they will rebuild, eventually.. Im sure of it, when is anyones guess.

And yeah, hunger in the world is a big deal, but those with the money to help it are really just too selfish to donate any to organizaions such as the Red Cross.

well im not dumb, i know a thing or two about the situation but i still think that people could be helping more than they are.
i didn't say all Americans are racist, but a lot still are. all the media coverage in Canada is kind of portraying that. its just how were seeing it here.
a lot of other countries are asking to help and America is denying it. WHY damn it we want to help, let us. Same with many other countries.

And if your to say most of America isn't racist is not possible and its illogical.

I hate America just as much, if not more then you do, but I still think that other nations have no right to ask for help or aid from others. They should handle it on their own, and if they can't then they don't deserve to be in power in the first place.

As far as New Orleans go, I really like the Marshal Law idea. There can't be any progress if morons are rioting, panicing, and becoming out-of-control.

At school some of the New Orleanians are coming to where I live. (city i mean)

I feel very sad for them, having lost the home in which they live! Also my teacher's family lived at New Orleans and she can't tell if their alive or not since the connection!
