As someone already said, it does look just like a tut I saw ages ago..
Anyways..
The beam just doesn't look good. It's too simple in some ways - needs more color maybe. Actually the whole pic needs more shades. A bit too much sparkling, and lines from the beam - makes it look worse.
Can't really think of more to say atm..
I just don't really like it, sorry.
