What the fuck is up with you guys and myspace. OMG!!!! I fucking hate fads and refuse to be a part of them.

haha depends on how you look at it, i hate fads but i use myspace to meet people not so i can show off how much of a fake loser i am :lol:

i didnt get myspace to become part of a fad
i can get in contact with old friends a lot easier

and mostly i just use it for my band. its a good way to get the word out about shows and new songs

I understand the whole promoting music and staying in touch with friends thing.

I just don't have a myspace because the amount of social whorage makes me want to stab myself in the face.

Bands - fliers and/or your own website (much more professional)

yea my band still fliers like crazy, there is only so much area you can cover

and a website is in the making

but for now why wouldnt a band want to be apart of myspace? there are millions of users. itd be like hey do you want to flier at the park where there are like 2 people, or hand fliers out at school where all the kids are? might as well go to where people are.

yeah i suppose it's right what levi is saying, it's hard enough promoting a band why not loosen up the strain a bit and go on a commercial site, you may think commercialising a band is wrong but that's why ost people make music, and if people do it for the love and passion of music like a lot do, then why only have a few people hear your love why not let more people understand you... too many people are misunderstood already.

I'm beginning to dislike myspace..
