Yeap. We had a long debate about that too the other day. The reason they don't like pics being taken is for this very reason.
If I were to sell them, then that would be illegal. I could probably make a few bucks, but that's not my intention here. My guess is the legal fees would far outweigh what I could get for a few pics taken with a cheap 3.2 digital camera.
I see it this way. I'm on a public street taking a few snaphots. If I'm asked not to, fine, I'll stop. For a while. Then I'll walk around, go home, whatever, go back, take a few more if I can.
If this was being filmed during daylight hours I'd have a lot more to show.
I'm not sure yet if they will be shooting tonite due to the crappy weather here. I'll be back at some point to let you guys know.
Excuse the double post.
I still don't know if they will be filming tonight. It's pouring buckets here right now, but I figured I'd take a few more shots just for the hell of it.
These first two are the Coyote. It gives you maybe a better idea as to the actual size of it in comparison to your average vehicle.

This is what's known as the Condor Light.

That's the windshiled to the right The only view you have is right in front of you, and to your left. Everything else is via cameras and thermal imaging, even in the "hollywood gutted" version of the beast.
This is the car they're using in the shoots.

lol @ the car, it looks pretty stupid just there like that :p So in the movie do they have loads of the coyote thing, or just a few, or are there loads in your town?
Damn it sure rains alot in vancouver froflrof
Good one of the car!
There's one Coyote, 2 hummers, and one larger personel vehicle of somesort that you can see in post #9 in the back ground. Weather they will be bringing in more military vehicles over the week, I really don't know.
The Coyote does seem to be the main attraction though so far as far as the shoots are going.
Edit:
Got a chance tonite to go back down, but it's really tough to get good pics, not to mention my camera pretty much sucks.
Here's the Condor Light in action.

Hard to make out, but between the hummer and the coyote you can see the flipped car burning away.

Couple of hummers and some people getting paid big bucks to stand around.

They're pretty adamant about being actually on set while filming. I did walk through and there was a table to my left on the side walk, with two guys playing around with assault rifles, which are in fact real weapons loaded with blanks.
The hummers have a chain gun mounted on the roof that shoots 50 cal shells. I got to see it fired, and I was maybe 20 feet away from it. I had no idea how loud these things were.
This one isn't as bad as I thought so I'll add it. The person you see standing on the hummer I beleive is Reiko Aylseworth, who plays the main character, Kelly. (Starred in such shows as 24, CSI, The Dead Zone, You've got mail...yada yada yada.)
