Good metal band

Well if you're putting Pantera in the same catgory as Styx and Foreigner and then putting Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden in the same category as Slayer you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Have you ever even listened to these bands you're talking about?

Slayer Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden dont go in the same category? 80's Metal? I don't understand what you're getting at dude. I don't understand why you guys had to make this a giant arguement, you can't just let someone speak their mind every once in a while, and leave them be? Everyone has their opinion, I say Pantera isn't heavy and you say A7X isn't when they actually sound pretty similar. And don't tell me I don't know what i'm talking about, because i've listened to Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Pantera, Rush, all that stuff all of my life. And honestly I don't think any of them are considered heavy by today's standards. And how does a band suck just because they don't scream through the entire song narco? Can you not go a day without someone screaming at you? There's definitely something wrong with that. And I agree madball, Metallica's new stuff blows, their old stuff is much better. Next time someone speaks their opinion don't make such a big deal out of it. PLEASE, it irritates me seeing a thousand posts in a thread that was solely on a metal band.

Hmm well all the post were about metal cause look at the ****ing thrad title.. Wow man and Ivbe been listening to those bands all my life aswell. Were the same age or so so dont saya nything about it. Anyways ok just drop it I love Pantera thats why I got defenseive adn when you said Norma Jean was heavier it pissed me off cause honestly dude theyre not. But yeah drop it. And new Metallica is horrid, best was with Mustain, Speakling of him. I get to see Megadeth with NEVERMROE~! In August. Neermore is another great band you should look into if you love and adore teh guitar. Anyways sorry if I upset anyone today I just get desfensive when someone talks down about Pantera or Dime for that mater, like when you called him a dumbass.. No dumbass can play Stairway to Heaven note for note at the age of fourteen then branch off into his own solo from the top of his head and win a guitar contest and then be banned from every constest byt eh age of seventeen cause he had won the all.. Anyways I'm done now

i dont even want to begin to argue aobut different genres just listen to the music and the band if you like it you do..but metal and metal core are two totally differrent sounds.

I honestly don't really get the point of minor genres. Like I understand metal, rock, rap, pop, whatever, but I could pretty much care less whether I think something is metal and someone else thinks it's screamo or something. :\

youll understand if you lsiten to a band that is callled metalcore and another band that is metal...alot of bands have multi genres within there music.
